The voice chat rooms that were common
in the past, have given way to a new bred of talk. Instant Messenger
Programs, such as AOL, Windows Messenger, Yahoo, Google Talk and
Paltalk, now incorporate voice capabilities and the ability to create
a "temporary, private room", where "buddies"
can meet. If all P&M members were using the same program, and
we were all on each others "Buddy List", we could all
meet in the same "private room" and voice chat together.
Let's look at an example:
We ALL were on each others buddy list using Paltalk...We
knew from an email we received yesterday, that at 8:00PM tonight,
there would be a "P&M voice chat conference" in a
private voice room. I would "sign-on" to Paltalk at 7:45PM
and open a "private room called...PM". At 8:00PM, everyone
else would "sign on" to Paltalk and would go to that room.
That's it, and although some programs might limit the gathering
to a maximum 10 people, I don't think that would necessarily be
a problem. |
