Dear P & Mers:

Sad but true. Our Ace reporter Shorty Larkin, reports that the Yearsley Post is up for sale. At one time it had over 3000 members - it now has 73.

Trivia Question: who first coined the term "P & M"? Answer at the Reunion.

Please do not be concerned that your check for the Reunion has not be cashed. All checks will be cashed at one time. We now have 60 paid, many of them first timers. A good number of the "regulars" have not, as yet, sent in. Please "check" in at the earliest time.

In addition to those of us on the Web, 55 letters have been sent to other interested P & Mers. We had 75 last year and can probably expect 90 to 100 this year. There are 7 people coming from Florida alone. Sad but true: we had more members at our last reunion than there are now on the Rolls of the Yearsley Post. Those were the finest of people: not only did they fight the wars, they did some much for the community!

NOW is the time to plan for 2001! We need volunteers for 2001, lest we go the way of the Post. This will be discussed at the Reunion. There will be a BRIEF " open mic" period to discuss this most important issue. Your questions, comments and observations will be most welcome.

The monies for this Reunion are in hand; however, please be advised that the base cost if $46.64 per head, and thanks too the good work of the committee, we will be able to hold the line. Also, we are getting first class entertainment for FREE. Please come prepared to support the raffles, in order that we can give the new committee a cushion.

This Web site, and the attendant work, is done pro bono by Bobby Camardella. The Web site is out of space. Enter Al Buccini, who has contributed space from his business site. Many other contributions will be acknowledged at the Reunion. Please feel free to get into the act.

You will be given periodic updates from now to the Reunion. Stay in good health and remember that: " P & M Lives ON".

Thank you, Jim McFadden
